Our story

We opened Sikëwa in 2012 with the mission of offering our clients the best coffee in Costa Rica. Our name, Sikëwa, means "important" in Costa Rica's native Cabecar language, and it reflects the care we take with each step of our process, from farm to cup.  We strive to create unique flavors by selecting and purchasing our single origin beans directly from small producers who use different production processes, which is the first step in creating our carefully crafted small batch roasts. 
We invite you to discover and explore our small but beautiful country of Costa Rica through our coffee, and we hope that Sikëwa coffee becomes as important to you as it is to us!
